Anchorage GRIT (Girls Riding Into Tomorrow) is a life-changing after-school bike mentorship program for girls, trans, and non-binary students at Title 1 middle schools in Anchorage. GRIT is completely free, giving students the tools they need to build confidence, independence, and a love for adventure through biking.

Thanks to your support, GRIT 2024 was a huge success, raising $10,000 to empower a new generation of cyclists at Begich Middle School. In 2025, we’re doubling our impact by expanding to two schools and providing bikes and gear to more participants than ever before.

To make this possible, we need your help to raise $15,000!

Your donation will help us provide:
🚴 Bicycles, helmets, and gear for all participants.
📚 Six weeks of lessons, field trips, and hands-on learning about bikes and about life.
🏕️ A 65-mile group ride to Eklutna Lake for an overnight campout at a backcountry cabin.

At the end of the season, students earn their bikes and gear to keep, giving them the tools to explore their community for years to come.

GRIT runs on the dedication of volunteer mentors and the generosity of supporters like you. Every dollar directly funds the program, creating opportunities for more kids to discover the joy and freedom of biking.
