The 2011 AIA Alaska / Bicycle Commuters of Anchorage Summer Bike Challenge was a tremendous success. To encourage friendly competition between firms we divided the competition this year into categories based on business size (small, medium, large and extra large), and focused on percentage of participation by businesses in terms of number of commutes. The result?
577 riders commuted to work by bike this summer, logging over 19,959 trips and 107,000 miles.
