Data Blitz Community Ride

We will be meeting at Margaret Eagan Sullivan Park (Westchester Lagoon) at 10 am on Sunday the 24th. From there, we will ride along the Chester Creek Trail to the Russian Jack counting station. We will head back to Westchester Lagoon via the Ship Creek Trail, with a planned 1 pm return. This ride will include a total of 13 miles. Due to the distance, it might not be suitable for kids (sorry!). Helmet + bike + water are a must, smartphone (for the data collection App) is a plus!

A little background:
On September 23rd-24th, Anchorage Transportation Planning and Alta Planning + Design are organizing a Trails Data Collection Blitz. This effort will aid in the development of the city's new Non-Motorized Plan - an important document that will set priorities for things we care about, like new trails, sidewalks, and bike lanes!

We will be joined by Fred Young, Principal Designer with Alta Planning + Design, who will explain how the data collection will inform future city planning. So come along if you're curious about Anchorage's non-motorized future!
