Anchorage Museum Bike Tour: Climate Change in Alaska


Join the Anchorage Museum and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Regional Climate Services Director Jessica Cherry for an engaging and informative exploration of Anchorage on bike. Participants will cycle together on a route that includes stops of cultural or historical significance to understand better some of the subtle and overt influences a changing climate has on Alaska.

Free. Tour begins at the Anchorage Museum and covers four to eight miles; may not be suitable for all riders. Meet at 5 p.m., ride begins at 5:30 p.m. (rain or shine). In partnership with Bike Anchorage. 

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Jessica Cherry is a geoscientist, writer, and commercial airplane pilot living in Anchorage. She currently serves as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s regional climate services director for Alaska and co-edited an anthology Wheels on Ice: stories of cycling in Alaska.
