Come join the Bike Anchorage team Saturday Sep 30th for a fun group ride along our Chanshtnu (Chester) Creek Trail to the Pine Street Protected Bike Lane Project. You can gather with us at 10am for the Lagoon Start or hop on along the way at our pickup points (see rainbow map above). Easy pace ride with snacks, fun, and bikeable Anchorage discussion.

We’ll be heading to the Pine Street Protected Bike Lane Pilot Project to experience it first hand and record our thoughts and insights. The Pilot Project is the first of many to happen at various streets and roads in Anchorage next summer and beyond. The point of these projects are to gather data, learn lessons, and incorporate the community about implementing protected bike lanes. Many cities have used this tool to dramatically accelerate safe streets and mode options.

Besides the destination it’s all about the journey, and honestly, we all just love to ride bikes! So come on out for this joyous gathering on our trails or a community ride.
