We're on a mission to put bike parking on the map in Anchorage! Help us explore the northeast Anchorage region gathering data about bike parking facilities using OpenStreetMap. Ultimately, we're hoping to make a user-friendly map of all the bike parking options in the city!

This is no ordinary mapping adventure: We're also celebrating "40 years of rolling along together" for our amazing volunteer Diana and her husband Dave. We'll have snacks and drinks, plenty of friends and fun - all we need is you!

Getting Ready

Here are a few steps to take before the mapping event, so you'll be ready to roll when we meet up.

1. Create a free OSM user account at www.openstreetmap.org

2. Download an app that allows you to use OSM. For Android, try Vespucci. For iPhone, try Go Map!! 

3. Look over our Mapping How-To document to get familiar with using the apps
