BIG FAT RIDE 2023

We want you to join us during Fur Rondy as fat bikers for a fun, all-ability friendly ride across Anchorage. It's been almost two years, and we can't wait to ride with you. Together we will tour our beautiful and snowy city.

This is a great and exciting ride for families, people that are new to Fat biking, people that are still working on enduring longer rides in the snow, and for all of those experienced riders that want to have a fun time with others. This is definitely a ride that welcomes and encourages all ability riders.

Join us and hundreds of other fat bikers on a fun, beginner-friendly ride across Anchorage. Tour our beautiful, snow city and celebrate the birthplace of the Fat Bike. Start your chill, 5-mile loop on 4th Avenue Downtown. Then, make your way to Westchester Lagoon for a party with all of your fat bike friends. After warming up with some refreshments, finish the loop via the spectacular coastal trail.

By joining us for this ride, you're supporting Bike Anchorage and a more bikeable, walkable city. The Big Fat Ride caps off Winter Bike Fest, our month long celebration of biking in our winter city.

Saturday, February 25th, 2023

Bib Pickup starts at 2 PM and will take place on E St between 4th and 5th, close to Bearpaw. 

3:00 pm moving riders to 4th ave

3:15 pm ride starts.

**Online Registration closes Saturday 25th at 9 AM, but registration will be available on-site the same day of the event**

**Helmets are required for all riders**

The Route

The route will be guided and well marked. 4th & D Street to Cordova down to 13th Avenue where we will turn west and bike over to A Street to join the trail system on Chester Creek Trail. Finish up the ride along the Coastal Trail to 2nd & Christensen Dr with a post ride party refreshments and ride gifts.
