Join Bike Anchorage for a Community Ride and Discussion on Neighborhood Greenways!

Bike Anchorage invites you to a special group ride on Sunday, June 29th at 10 AM, starting from the Park Strip at G Street, to explore Anchorage’s new Neighborhood Greenways program—a growing network of low-stress on-street biking and walking routes.

This 10-mile, easy-paced ride will take us through six of the newly treated routes in West Anchorage, with stops along the way to learn about each corridor and how they support safer, more comfortable travel for people of all ages and abilities. We’ll cover Routes in Turnagain, South Addition, Rogers Park, Fairview and Airport Heights. Check out the project webpage for more information on the Anchorage Neighborhood Greenways program.  

We’ll be joined by the Municipality of Anchorage project team, who will share insights on the development of the Greenways and gather feedback from the community. The ride will conclude at Fire Island Bake Shop, where we'll enjoy snacks and an open discussion about the future of Anchorage's active transportation network.

This is the first of two rides, with a second ride later this summer to explore routes in East Anchorage.
