Join architect and life-long Alaska Tom Livingston on an eclectic sampling of Anchorage’s architecture. From pioneer to modern and kit-houses to sky-scapers, Anchorage has it all. Enjoy not only Tom’s architectural knowledge, but also his 60+ years Anchorage stories and recollections. BTW, what building looks like Mickey Mouse from the air?

Bike Anchorage is excited to initiate Community Rides this Summer! Join us every other Wednesday from May 20 to September 9 for FREE rides led by volunteers are designed to build community amongst our neighbors--all by bike!
The aim of these Community Rides is three-fold:
-
Sharing low-traffic, cut-through and shortcut routes to travel through various areas of the municipality to help us all feel more comfortable and confident bicycle commuting through town.
-
Learning about a particular aspect of our home city through unique cycling themes. Topics currently include parks, bike shops, architecture, gardens, artisan food, and raspberries!
-
Connecting community through new friendships and shared riding experiences.
Contact Sage if you have a suggestion for a ride or would like to volunteer to lead one. Riders are expected to have their own, working bicycles and to wear helmets and other safety gear. The pace will be gentle, 10 miles an hour with stops for discussion and re-grouping.
