  • Downtown Protected Bike Lane Pilot Ribbon Cutting

The Anchorage Protected Bike Lane (PBL) Pilot Study is rolling out Phase 2 in downtown with a temporary installation on 6th Avenue and A Street from the end of May - September.

The PBL Pilot Study aims to learn how protected bike lanes can be implemented to improve safe, reliable, and equitable access for all transportation users—including pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, and drivers. The PBL team will be collecting survey data throughout the project duration and feedback will guide future bicycle facility improvements in Anchorage.

May 30th will be a Ribbon Cutting for the project at 5pm along side Live After 5 at the Downtown Park Strip. Bring your friends and Family to help celebrate this Huge First for our downtown and Anchorage.

    • $75.00 USD

    An Arctic Bicycle Club Event:
All women+, 18 and up, of ALL fitness levels and ALL bike skills are welcome. If you don't think is for you, we disagree.
We listened to participants, coaches, and assistants and made TWO big changes to our 5th annual Festival this year: Location and schedule.
LOCATION: based at Hilltop Chalet, using the ski, multiuse, and single-track Hillside trails. Beginner groups will build confidence on the wider trails while riders with more experience will build their skills on ability-appropriate STA trails.
The Hilltop Chalet offers bike rentals, indoor facilities, a great atmosphere, and excellent food & beverages from Finn's Kitchen.
SCHEDULE: we want everyone to enjoy the day without feeling rushed and exhausted, so we’ve made the following improvements.
11a - 12p - Check-in and bike safety checks from the Trek Store of Anchorage
    12p - 2p - Full Send participants attend a 2-hour skill-level appropriate clinic.
2p - 4p - will bring everyone to our hub at Hilltop to enjoy lunch & ice cream, mechanical clinics, time to play around with your new skills on the skills/sender ramps, connect with fellow riders and bike community, and peruse the merchants, non-profits, and artisans in the Vendor Village.
4p - 6p - Full Send participants attend a second, 2-hour skills clinic. Drop-In participants can go on a no-drop Social Ride; Full Send could also opt-in on this ride instead of a clinic.
FULL SEND ($75) all access - includes 2 skills clinics, mechanical classes, lunch, ice cream, swag
